Cooler temperatures brought a fresh season of outings, creativity, and celebration to All Care YOUniversity Macon in October. From community adventures and pumpkin decorating to Halloween treats, participants and staff enjoyed a busy month together.
Fall Outings Around Georgia
Our groups visited the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame, explored the Georgia National Fair in Perry, and headed to Lane Packing in Fort Valley to choose pumpkins of their own.
A Pumpkin Decorating Contest to Remember
After selecting their pumpkins, participants and staff got creative with decorations and held a friendly contest. All Care’s administrative staff and house managers voted on their favorites.
Staff winners: Jasmine — 1st place; Michelle N. — 2nd place.
Individual winners: Mitch — 1st place; McKenzie and Selina — tied for 2nd place.
Congratulations to everyone who participated and helped make the contest so much fun!
Creative Treats and Halloween Celebrations
Back at YOUniversity, the seasonal activities continued with candy corn fruit parfaits, glitter spider webs, and swamp sludge smoothies. Everyone also decorated a tote bag to carry while trick-or-treating through the offices.
We wrapped up October with a Halloween party and trick-or-treating — a festive finish to an activity-filled month.
