A Day at Elliot Farms with All Care YOUniversity Macon
On April 17, 2025, individuals from the All Care YOUniversity day center in Macon enjoyed a fun-filled and heartwarming outing to Elliot Farms, a local favorite known for its welcoming atmosphere and beautiful natural setting.
The day kicked off with excitement as participants arrived ready to explore everything the farm had to offer. From the moment they stepped off the bus, the group was greeted by fresh air, friendly faces, and wide open spaces—perfect for a spring adventure.
The visit included several engaging activities that made the experience both educational and enjoyable. Everyone loved observing and interacting with the animals on the farm, from goats and chickens to other friendly farm residents. The simple joy of connecting with nature brought out big smiles and lots of laughter.
One of the highlights of the day was strawberry picking. Armed with baskets and enthusiasm, individuals picked ripe, juicy strawberries straight from the vines—a hands-on activity that delighted all the senses. Following the berry-picking fun, the group hopped aboard for a peaceful hayride around the farm, soaking in the serene countryside views.
Of course, no farm visit is complete without a sweet treat. Everyone enjoyed a stop at the farm’s ice cream stand to indulge in delicious, locally-made ice cream. The creamy dessert was the perfect ending to a day full of adventure, community, and connection.
